Since 1999 the department has been a unique  influential center for training specialists in current issues of international relations, public communications and regional studies in the region. Particular attention is paid to language training. The scientific interests of the department’s researchers cover a wide range of theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary international relations and foreign policy.

Specialty 291 “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”

Educational Program «International Relations»(«Bachelor’s Degree»)

The purpose of the program is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of international relations who have knowledge of the history and theory of international relations; national, regional and international security; international cooperation; international regional complexes; oriented in the international information space; able to solve complex problems in the field of professional activity; to adapt to new professions in politics in the conditions of political transformations of the information society and world globalization.

Educational Program “International Relations, Translation in International Communications” («Master’s Degree»)

The program prepares professionals who have advanced knowledge of methodology and methods of research, international systems, international and national security, international regional complexes, foreign languages; conversant  with the current international situation; able to solve complex tasks in the professional sphere of activity; independently carry out scientific researches; able to adapt to changes in the international contexts, social transformations, cultural and linguistic environments.

Educational Program “International Communications and Mediation in Conflict Settlement” («Master’s Degree»)

The purpose of the program is to promote students’ understanding of such issues as the complex nature of wars and conflicts, the process of conflict resolution and post-conflict development; various stages and means of peace restoration, overcoming the conflict’s impact and ensuring sustainable development; specifics of conflict resolution and peacekeeping in transitional, multicultural and multifaceted societies.
