Department of History of Ukraine and Special Branches of History
The Department of History of Ukraine and and Special Branches of History was formed in 2019 by combining two departments – the Department of History of Ukraine (from 1966) and the Department of Special Branches of History (from 1969). The Department of History of Ukraine was headed by I. Kolodiazhnyi, O. Pryimenko, R. Liakh, P. Dobrov, O. M. But. But over the years, while the Department of Special Branches of History was headed by V. Blyzniuk, R. Liakh, V. Pirko. Now the unified department is headed by N. Temirova.
Department of World History and Archeology
The Department of World History and Archeology dates to the of Stalin / Donetsk Pedagogical Institute.
Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy
Since 1999 the department has been a unique influential center for training specialists in current issues of international relations, public communications and regional studies in the region. Particular attention is paid to language training. The scientific interests of the department’s researchers cover a wide range of theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary international relations and foreign policy.
Department of Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy of Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University was established in 1965. Since then it implements active scientific and educational activity in all faculties of the University.
